There is no separate EMAT exam registration. You apply to the MBA for Working Executives at IIM Kozhikode (IIMK) on its admission portal. EMAT is one step after your application is shortlisted. The application fee is ₹2,000. IIMK closed the last 2026-28 window on 30 September 2026 and has announced no EMAT exam registration 2027 dates.
IIM Kashipur EMAT: last date 23 December 2026
2026-12-23IIM Kashipur runs its own EMAT for its Executive MBA. It lists 23 December 2026 as the last date to apply. This is a different test from the IIM Kozhikode EMAT. IIM Kozhikode has no open window on 20 October 2026.
IIM Kashipur Executive MBA pageEMAT means Executive Management Aptitude Test. IIMK uses it to screen working professionals for its executive MBA, which it earlier called EPGP (Executive Post Graduate Programme). EMAT is not a national exam, so no single body handles EMAT exam registration. IIM Kashipur has a separate EMAT with its own application. Start with the EMAT exam overview if you are new to the test. The EMAT 2027 dates page lists the phase calendar.
EMAT exam registration means creating a profile and filling the application form on the IIMK admission portal. EMAT registration needs a mobile number and an email.
EMAT exam registration has one application, one fee and one portal for the IIM Kozhikode programme. The EMAT registration rules in the policy apply to all four phases of the 2026-28 batch. The facts below come from the IIMK admission page and its admission policy.

No. IIMK has no separate EMAT exam registration. It uses one application for the programme. The policy describes three stages: shortlisting, then EMAT and the Personal Interview. You do not register again for EMAT.
For the IL-Kozhikode programme, do your IIMK EMAT exam registration on the IIMK admission page at iimk.ac.in. IIMK Kochi has a separate programme with its own application site, named in its FAQ. We could not open that site on 20 October 2026, so check IIMK's Kochi page for its status. IIM Kashipur uses an "Apply Now" button on its Executive MBA page.

IIMK has announced no EMAT exam registration dates for 2027. The registration dates below are for the IIMK EMAT of the 2026-28 batch, and all four windows are closed.
| Phase | Registration opens | Last date to register |
|---|---|---|
| Phase I | 16 Mar 2026 | 15 May 2026 |
| Phase II | 17 May 2026 | 12 Jul 2026 |
| Phase III | 14 Jul 2026 | 17 Aug 2026 |
| Phase IV | 18 Aug 2026 | 30 Sep 2026 |
IIMK lists no Phase V. The admission page still reads "Admissions Open", but it gives no window after Phase IV. The IIMK Kochi page says admissions for 2027-2029 "will commence soon" and gives no dates. IIM Kashipur lists 23 December 2026 as the last date to apply for its 2027-29 batch. Plan EMAT exam registration around the closing date of the phase you choose.
Expected, not confirmed: IIMK opened the first window on 16 March 2026. A similar start in 2027 is possible. IIMK has not said so.
IIMK has not announced when EMAT exam registration 2027 will start. Watch the IIMK admission page. The EMAT exam date page will carry the new calendar once IIMK publishes it.
For EMAT exam registration, you need a bachelor's degree with minimum marks and 3 years of work experience after graduation. These EMAT exam eligibility rules are for the IIMK EMAT route in the 2026-28 batch. IIMK has not published rules for 2027.
| Category | Minimum marks in your degree |
|---|---|
| General | 50% |
| OBC-NCL | 50% |
| EWS | 50% |
| Women | 45% |
| SC, ST and PwD | 40% |
EMAT exam eligibility rests on a degree and 3 years of experience. A graduate with 3 full years (1095 days) of managerial, entrepreneurial or professional work experience can apply. IIMK counts the experience after you complete graduation. It counts it as on the closing date of the phase you apply in. The Phase IV form asked you to tick that you had 3 years of experience by 30 September 2026.
IIMK counts work experience from your date of graduation, which is the earliest of three dates. These are the issue date of your provisional certificate, the date on your original degree certificate and your convocation date. Internships and apprenticeships do not count. You must declare your full employment history, not only the last 3 years.
Yes. A candidate with a CA, ICWA or CS qualification and no bachelor's degree needs 50% marks in all categories. The 3-year work experience rule is the same for every category.
IIMK has published no age rule in the EMAT exam eligibility for the IL-Kozhikode programme. The IIMK Kochi FAQ says there is no upper age limit for its programme. IL-Kozhikode classes run through designated classroom centres in India only. IIMK says you cannot pursue it from outside India.
For the IIM Kashipur Executive MBA, the EMAT exam eligibility marks are 50% for General and 47% for NC-OBC. They are 45% for SC, ST and DAP. We did not find its work experience rule in the pages we read. Check the 2027-29 brochure on the IIM Kashipur page before you pay.
No. EMAT exam eligibility does not ask for a CAT, GMAT or GRE score. EMAT is the entry test for people who do not hold one of these scores. If you hold a CAT score of 75 percentile or more, IIMK can use it instead of EMAT. The same holds for a GMAT of 700 or more. A GRE needs Verbal 151, Quant 152 and Analytical Writing 3.5. The score must not be older than 3 years as on 17 May 2026.
No. You still register and apply. The score replaces only the EMAT step. The Personal Interview still follows.
Yes, with business documents. IIMK accepts items such as a registered partnership deed and an MCA or RoC certificate. GST registration or audited accounts for two consecutive years also work. At least one document must show both the firm and your name as promoter or director.
EMAT exam registration happens on the IIMK admission portal with your mobile number and email, using one-time passwords (OTP). The steps below come from the IIMK help page. IIMK has not yet opened a 2027 window, so the exact screens may change.
Submit the application form before the last date of your phase. Online EMAT is held later, so finish registration first. The EMAT 2027 fees page shows what you pay and when.
After EMAT exam registration, IIMK first shortlists applicants on eligibility. Shortlisted candidates then take EMAT and the Personal Interview. IIMK says the test details go to shortlisted candidates after the registration closure date. Read the EMAT admit card page to see how this works without a hall ticket.
You choose Weekend or Combined at the time of application. Weekend classes run on Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 3 PM. Combined classes run on Thursday and Saturday evenings and on Sunday. IIMK says a change after enrolment is generally not permitted, so decide before you submit.
The EMAT exam registration fee is ₹2,000, as per the IIMK admission policy for the 2026-28 batch. IIMK states the amount is non-refundable and payable online at the time of application. IIMK publishes no separate EMAT fee.
IIMK lists one amount and no category-wise fee for EMAT exam registration. IIMK has not stated the payment modes for the IL-Kozhikode application. Full cost details, refund rules and the programme fee are on the EMAT exam fees page.
The EMAT application form asks for scanned originals of your certificates. IIMK does not accept provisional certificates as valid proof of educational qualification. Collect these documents before EMAT exam registration. The list follows the IIMK FAQ and the admission policy.
Declare your full work history
IIMK asks for your full employment history, not only the last 3 years. This helps IIMK to verify your experience.
IIMK has not published photo and signature size or format rules for EMAT exam registration. The pages we read list no pixel size, file size or file type. The portal may show the exact rules after you log in. We could not see inside the login.
Keep a clear recent photograph and a signature on white paper ready as scans. This is general advice, not an IIMK rule. If the portal does not show the rules, write to epgpadmission@iimk.ac.in.
IIMK has published no correction window for the EMAT application form. So check your EMAT exam registration twice before you submit. It does state one hard rule: you cannot change your category after EMAT registration is submitted. The session choice, Weekend or Combined, is also made at the time of application.
Check these items before you submit.
If you find a mistake after submission, contact IIMK. The EPGP admission email is epgpadmission@iimk.ac.in, and the office phone is 0495-2809 418. Keep a copy of your submitted form for your records. This is advice, not an IIMK rule.
No for the application fee. IIMK says it is not refundable or adjustable under any circumstances. A different rule covers withdrawal after an offer: IIMK refunds after processing charges and other deductions.
No. IIM Kashipur has its own EMAT and its own application. Registering at IIM Kozhikode does not register you there.

It starts with research, where each fact is checked on the official source. A second, independent source is then used to confirm that the fact is correct and the latest. Third-party sites are used only to spot differences and are never treated as a source. Before writing, the team studies what students actually search for and what the top results leave out. Pages written by Atul are in plain English that can be understood in one read, and they open with the question the reader is most likely to have. Before a page goes live, every number, name, date, and fact is checked again against its official source. Finally, an editor reads and humanises every page, however good the draft is. Atul believes that advice on education should be simple, honest, and based on official facts. Fees and figures should come with their source. A student should be told clearly when a college is not the right fit.
