GMAT Exam Fees 2027: Registration Fees & Details

In India, the GMAT exam fees are US$275 for a test centre appointment and US$300 for the online exam. This is as per the GMAC payment page read on 20 October 2026. The number that matters is the total cost, not the base GMAT exam fees alone. A reschedule, a late cancellation and extra score reports can add a large part of the exam fee again.

GMAC has announced no separate GMAT exam fees 2027. The GMAT has no yearly cycle. These GMAT exam fees in India are in force today for applicants who test for 2027 admissions. GMAC says fees are subject to change.

GMAT exam fees do not change by category in India. The payment page lists one fee for the test centre and one for the online exam. It makes no split by category.

Why is the GMAT exam fee so expensive?

The GMAC payment page gives no reason for the amount. It does show what the fee already covers. Five score reports are free if you send them within 48 hours of your Official Score. The Official Score Report is free too. A candidate who tests once and sends no extra reports pays only the GMAT exam fees listed above. Plan for more if you may reschedule.

GMAC has announced no change in GMAT exam fees for 2027. The fees on this page are the GMAT exam fees 2026 candidates see on the payment page. We read it on 20 October 2026.

The GMAT has no yearly application cycle, so there is no "new fee" date to wait for. GMAC re-issued its exam policies on 12 August 2026, and the policy document says fees can change. We found no official statement on when GMAC will next revise them.

This page does not compare with older years. The payment page shows only the current fee. A number from an older year on another page cannot be checked. GMAC says business schools accept both versions. Check your schools before you pick the cheaper one. ISB and the IIM executive programmes accept only test centre scores, as per their own pages. The GMAT 2027 colleges page lists these rules.

Do GMAT exam fees change by country?

Yes. GMAC sets the fee by country, so a fee quoted for another country is not your fee. The table below comes from the same payment page with the country changed.

What are the GMAT exam fees in INR?

GMAT exam fees in INR are not published by GMAC. The payment page lists dollars only, and it shows no GST or other Indian tax line for India. Any rupee total is an estimate and not a GMAC figure.

A rupee amount moves with the exchange rate. Treat the GMAT exam fees online or at a centre as a dollar price. Confirm the final amount at checkout.

What is the GMAT registration fee, and is there a retake discount?

The GMAT registration fee is the same as the exam fee: US$275 or US$300 in India. You pay the GMAT registration fee again for each new appointment. We found no retake discount on the GMAC pages read on 20 October 2026. You can test up to five times in a rolling 12 months, with a gap of at least 16 days. You book and pay for each new appointment on the same page.

GMAT exam fees for OBC, SC, ST, EWS and PwD candidates match the GMAT exam fees for general category candidates. The India payment page lists no category-wise fee and no concession by caste or disability.

Searches for GMAT exam fees for SC or GMAT exam fees for OBC find a flat fee only. The GMAT exam fees for SC and ST candidates carry no concession. The GMAT exam fees for OBC and EWS candidates carry none either.

Can a voucher or fee waiver pay the GMAT exam fee?

Yes, for the exam fee only. GMAC says vouchers and fee waivers can pay the exam fee but not the rescheduling fees. An online voucher cannot book a test centre appointment. A test centre voucher cannot book an online one. Some special programmes charge different fees. GMAC asks those candidates to refer to their offer document.

Do testing accommodations change the fee?

GMAC does not list an accommodation fee on the pages we read. The order matters more than the cost. Apply before you schedule. Approved accommodations are applied at scheduling and cannot be added to an existing appointment. Write to testingaccommodations@gmac.com and wait for approval before you book.

The GMAT has no counselling, so GMAC charges no counselling fee and no seat acceptance fee. Each school decides admission after you apply. GMAT exam fees end with the exam and the score reports.

The only fee GMAC charges after the exam is the score report fee. The Official Score Report in your account is free. You can send your score to five programmes at no cost. Do it within 48 hours of your Official Score becoming available. Each report after that costs US$35, for test centre and online candidates alike.

Schools receive your score within 8 hours of sending, and a sent score cannot be undone. Send reports only after you finalise your school list. The GMAT results 2027 page explains what a school sees.

The GMAT exam fees you pay GMAC are separate from the application fee each school charges. These amounts come from the schools' own pages.

The XLRI amounts come from the XLRI Admission Prospectus 2027. An older XLRI page still shows 2018 fees, and the 2027 prospectus replaces it. The IIM Bangalore PGPEM admission page, the SPJIMR admissions page and the MDI PGDM page carry the current figures.

MDI is a special case in this list. Indian candidates cannot apply to MDI on a GMAT score. Only NRI applicants can. MDI's page for the 2026-28 batch shows a total programme fee of about ₹26.6 lakh.

We have not listed programme fees for ISB, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore or IIM Calcutta. We did not read them on the schools' own pages. Check each school before you plan a budget. See GMAT cutoff 2027 for the score each school expects.

GMAT exam fees in India are paid by card, or by a voucher or fee waiver where you have one. GMAC accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover credit or debit cards. A declined card cancels your appointment automatically.

You can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before the appointment. Within 24 hours you can do neither, and the entire exam fee is forfeited. A no-show also loses the full fee. GMAC says you may not cancel a payment for any product or service. It gives no refund if a school later does not accept your score.

What is the GMAT reschedule fee?

The reschedule fee is US$55 at a test centre and US$60 online. This applies if you reschedule more than 60 days before the appointment. It rises as the date gets closer.

How much refund do I get if I cancel my GMAT appointment?

A cancellation returns only part of the fee, even if you cancel early. The second figure in each cell is what you lose. We worked it out from the US$275 and US$300 fees.

What happens if I miss my GMAT appointment?

You lose the whole fee. You may book a new exam without waiting 16 days. There is a 24-hour wait, and you pay the full registration fee again, as per GMAC policy.

You pay the GMAT exam fees online by card at the end of booking. The appointment is confirmed after payment. Follow these steps.

1. Create an account on mba.com with your basic information.
2. In My Account, click Register and choose test centre or online.
3. Complete your profile. Enter your name, birth date and country of citizenship exactly as they appear on your passport.
4. Choose the test centre if you picked that option, then the date and time.
5. Agree to the policies and pay by card at checkout.

Pay after you confirm your date. Phone booking is possible for test centre appointments, but it adds a US$10 service fee. Booking online avoids it.

Your card statement shows the charge under a name that does not say GMAT. Test centre payments appear as "VUE*GRAD MGMT TEST", and online payments appear as "TALVIEW.INC.". Do not report these as a wrong charge.
