A UCEED previous year question paper is the exact paper IIT Bombay used in a past cycle, released officially, not a coaching-institute reconstruction. A UCEED 2027 candidate can use it to practise on the real thing, which beats someone else's guess at what the real exam looks like. If you are preparing for UCEED in January 2027, this is study material you can trust completely, since IIT Bombay produced it.
IIT Bombay runs UCEED. It hosts these real papers itself, on its own Downloads page. This archive goes back to 2015. That is twelve years of genuine exam papers, sitting in the open, free for anyone to check.
Below, you will see exactly what is available and how far back it goes. You will also see how to use it well before your UCEED 2027 exam on 17 January 2027. The UCEED 2027 exam pattern 2027 page explains the format these papers follow.
UCEED's official Downloads page hosts real question papers and final answer keys for every year from 2015 through 2026. That covers twelve full cycles. Each cycle has the actual paper IIT Bombay used that year, not a summary or a redrawn version.
Every year in that archive carries two files: the question paper itself, and the final answer key that followed it. Together, they show a UCEED Exam candidate what to expect. They also show where the correct answers actually land for a past year's Part-A section.

This kind of open archive is unusual among competitive exams. Most release nothing older than a year or two, if they release anything at all. UCEED's twelve-year window lets a 2027 candidate study real shifts in difficulty and format. That covers more than a decade, not just a single reference year.

These papers sit directly on the official UCEED site, www.uceed.iitb.ac.in, on that year's own Downloads page, not on any third-party portal. Each cycle gets its listing once the exam and its result process are complete.
The files follow a plain naming pattern. The UCEED 2026 question paper, for example, is officially available as UCEED_2026_Question_Paper.pdf. Its answer key is UCEED2026_Answer_Key.pdf. Earlier years follow the same idea, with the year swapped in.
Always download from the official UCEED domain
IIT Bombay hosts every year's real paper and final key on www.uceed.iitb.ac.in itself. A file with a similar name on another site is not guaranteed to be the same document. UCEED 2027's own paper will only exist after the 17 January 2027 exam.
Visit the official UCEED siteA UCEED 2027 candidate does not need to search for a mirror or a reupload. The real files are already public, on the exam's own domain, going back to 2015.
UCEED releases the official answer key alongside each year's paper, but it does not publish worked, step-by-step solutions. That distinction matters more than it might seem.
An answer key is not the same as a solution
The official UCEED answer key names the correct option for each Part-A question. It does not explain the reasoning behind that answer. Anything calling itself a full 'solution' to a UCEED paper, with worked-out steps, comes from a coaching source. It does not come from IIT Bombay.
For a UCEED 2027 candidate, this means the official archive tells you what was correct. It does not tell you why. Working out the reasoning yourself, question by question, makes solving these papers useful practice. That is better than passive reading.
UCEED 2026 is the most recent full cycle IIT Bombay has published. Its paper-and-key pairing is the closest thing a UCEED 2027 candidate has to up-to-date practice material.
UCEED 2026 timeline (prior-cycle reference)
18 to 28 January 2026UCEED 2026 was held on 18 January 2026. The draft Part-A answer key followed on 20 January 2026, and the final answer key was released on 28 January 2026. UCEED 2027 is confirmed only for 17 January 2027; its own paper and key will not exist until after that exam.
Read moreUntil UCEED 2027 itself is over, the 2026 pairing is the single best real-world reference. It covers both difficulty and current format. It also mirrors the process explained on the UCEED 2027 answer key page. That process runs from draft key to objection window to final key. Treat 2026 as the most recent evidence available, not a guarantee that 2027 repeats it exactly. UCEED's own archive shows the pattern has shifted before across cycles.
IIT Bombay has historically conducted UCEED as a single sitting. It does not run across multiple slots or shifts, the way some other entrance exams do. The 2026 cycle held its entire exam in one forenoon session, from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. Every candidate across all 27 cities sat for it in that same window.
Slot-wise papers do not apply to UCEED
UCEED runs as one single sitting, not multiple slots. So there is no separate slot-wise version of any year's paper. Every candidate in a given year attempts the same question paper, in the same window. UCEED 2027's exact timing is not yet officially released, only that it falls in the forenoon on 17 January 2027.
So a UCEED 2027 candidate does not need to hunt for a specific slot's paper. One archived file per year is the whole picture.
UCEED does not publish anything officially labelled a sample paper or a mock test. Neither term appears in IIT Bombay's own brochure or FAQ for the exam.
No official sample paper. No official mock test. Nothing on www.uceed.iitb.ac.in carries either label, for any cycle checked.
For a UCEED 2027 candidate, this is genuinely good news. There is no separate, lower-stakes sample to wait for. The real papers are already the closest equivalent. They carry more truth about the actual exam than any reconstructed sample paper could.
Solving real UCEED papers shows you how the fixed time split actually feels under pressure. A syllabus description alone cannot teach you that. Part-A runs up to 2 hours for 200 marks across NAT, MSQ and MCQ questions. Part-B runs up to 1 hour for 100 marks, answered entirely by hand.
Part-A is computer-based. Every previous paper shows the real mix: 14 NAT questions, 15 MSQ questions, and 28 MCQ questions, all inside 2 hours. Solving old papers under that same 2-hour cap trains your pacing far better than reading about it.
Part-B is evaluated by hand, by two or more examiners. It covers a Sketching question and a Design Aptitude question, worth 50 marks each. Practicing old Part-B prompts shows you what a hand-drawn, subjective answer needs to look like. There is no machine here to forgive a rushed line.
UCEED's own archive shows that question counts, marking values and even Part-B's format have moved between cycles. Working through several years back to back is the best way to notice this. UCEED 2027 might not look identical to UCEED 2026.
This comes from IIT Bombay's own record of what UCEED actually asked, not from a textbook.
Reading through an old UCEED paper is not the same as solving it properly. Sit for it the way you would sit for the real thing, under the real time pressure.
0:00
Begin Part-A
Start a strict 2-hour block. Attempt every NAT, MSQ and MCQ question inside this window, the way UCEED 2026 candidates actually did.
2:00
Stop Part-A, start Part-B
Switch straight to the Sketching and Design Aptitude questions. Use an A4 board and black pencils, since that is what the real exam allows.
3:00
Stop the full attempt
End the session at exactly 3 hours, the same grand total UCEED itself runs to.
A few habits make the difference between solving a paper and actually learning from it:
Once a UCEED 2027 candidate has worked through a few of these papers, the next step is the bigger picture. The UCEED 2027 overview page shows how this practice fits into the full timeline, from registration through result.
For what comes after solving these papers, see the UCEED 2027 result page.

Yes, IIT Bombay officially releases UCEED papers and keys for 2015 through 2026. These are the exact documents used that year, not reconstructions. They sit on UCEED's own Downloads page, not a third-party site. Data Sources: www.uceed.iitb.ac.in, UCEED Downloads archive.

No, UCEED releases only the official answer key, not worked solutions. The key names the correct option for each Part-A question but does not explain the reasoning. Any full 'solution set' online comes from a coaching source, not IIT Bombay. Data Sources: UCEED 2026 Information Brochure, Sec. 17.11.1.
