Result

As of 12 September 2026, JEE Advanced 2027 has not taken place.

JEE Advanced does not give a percentage-based score. It gives raw marks out of 360, then an All India Rank, then a category rank. Do not expect a percentage figure.

Below, you will find the release date, how to download the result, what the scorecard shows, how your marks become your rank, and what to do once the result is out.

JEE Advanced Result 2027: Highlights

JEE Advanced 2027 is the second-stage exam after JEE Main. It is the only route into the 23 IITs, through JoSAA counselling. JEE Main alone gets you into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, not into an IIT.

IIT Delhi is expected to organise JEE Advanced 2027. That follows the fixed seven-year rotation among IITs: Kanpur ran 2025, Roorkee ran 2026, and Delhi is next in line for 2027. IIT Delhi has not officially confirmed this as of 12 September 2026, so treat it as expected, not final.

JEE Advanced 2026, by IIT Roorkee

IIT Roorkee organised the most recent completed cycle, JEE Advanced 2026, and held it on Sunday, 17 May 2026. Its result came out a few weeks later, once the final answer key was settled. That gives you a real pattern to plan around. The next section covers it in detail.

JEE Advanced 2027 Result Release Date

As of 13 September 2026, the status is not announced. IIT Delhi has not announced a JEE Advanced 2027 result date. It cannot, because the exam itself has not happened.

JEE Advanced 2027 result date: not yet announced

13 September 2026

As of 13 September 2026, IIT Delhi has not published a JEE Advanced 2027 exam date or result date. The last three cycles show a 14 to 15 day gap between exam and result. IIT Delhi's own exam date is unlikely to be confirmed before December 2026. Check jeeadv.ac.in directly once the exam is scheduled, rather than a third-party estimate.

Visit the official JEE Advanced site

The last three cycles show a consistent pattern. IIT Madras held JEE Advanced 2024 on 26 May 2024 and declared the result on 9 June 2024, a gap of 14 days. IIT Kanpur held JEE Advanced 2025 on 18 May 2025 and declared the result on 2 June 2025, a gap of 15 days. IIT Roorkee held JEE Advanced 2026 on 17 May 2026 and declared the result on 1 June 2026, also a gap of 15 days.

All three cycles show a 14 to 15 day gap between exam and result. All three organising IITs also released the final answer key on the same day as the result. JoSAA counselling registration opened the very next day in each cycle. IIT Delhi is expected to host JEE Advanced 2027, by a seven-year IIT rotation. This is not yet officially confirmed as of 13 September 2026. Based on this three-cycle pattern, expect the JEE Advanced 2027 exam in mid-to-late May 2027. Expect the result 14 to 15 days after that exam date. This is a pattern-based estimate, not a confirmed date.

IIT Delhi's own exam date is unlikely to be confirmed before December 2026. IIT Kanpur confirmed its 2025 exam date on 2 December 2024. IIT Roorkee confirmed its 2026 exam date on 5 and 6 December 2025, then published its full Information Brochure about three weeks later, by 29-30 December 2025. Treat any exam or result date for 2027 as unconfirmed until IIT Delhi's own formal notice appears.

Check the JEE Advanced answer key page once the exam is over. The final answer key and the result tend to land together, based on the last three years.

How to Download JEE Advanced Result 2027?

Once IIT Delhi declares the result, follow the same steps used in every recent cycle. Here are those steps, based on JEE Advanced 2025 and 2026.

  1. Go to jeeadv.ac.in. Each cycle has also carried its own dated result subdomain in the past, such as result25.jeeadv.ac.in for 2025.
  2. Click the result or scorecard link once it goes live.
  3. Enter your registration number, date of birth, and the mobile number you registered during JEE Advanced application.
  4. Your marks, All India Rank, and category rank appear on screen.
  5. Download the scorecard as a PDF immediately. Save a soft copy and print a hard copy.

There is no separate app or third-party portal for this. Every recent cycle ran the result through jeeadv.ac.in alone, using the candidate's own registration details.

The only official source for your JEE Advanced 2027 scorecard will be jeeadv.ac.in.

One official source, no fixed download window announced

IIT Delhi has not published how long the JEE Advanced 2027 scorecard will stay downloadable. Past cycles have not fixed this publicly either. Download and save your scorecard the same day it appears, rather than assuming you can return for it later.

You will need it again almost immediately. JoSAA counselling, covered further down, asks for your JEE Advanced rank the moment registration opens, which has started within a day or two of the result in recent cycles.

Details Mentioned on JEE Advanced Scorecard 2027

Based on the last three JEE Advanced cycles (2024, 2025, and 2026), your scorecard will likely show the following details. IIT Delhi has not released a sample 2027 scorecard yet. This reflects the settled format from past cycles, not a confirmed 2027 format.

  • Your name, roll number, registration number, category, and photograph
  • Subject-wise marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, combined across Paper 1 and Paper 2, out of a maximum of 360
  • Your total marks and whether you have qualified
  • Your All India Rank in the Common Rank List, the gender-neutral overall list
  • Your category rank, if you belong to OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, or ST
  • A separate female-only rank within the Common Rank List and within your category list, if applicable

This scorecard does not show a percentage-based score anywhere. Every figure on it is either a raw mark or a rank.

JEE Advanced 2027 Marks to Rank: How Your Score Becomes Your All India Rank

IIT Delhi converts your JEE Advanced 2027 marks into a position, not a fixed percentage or grade. It adds up your Paper 1 and Paper 2 marks, out of 360, then lines up every qualifying candidate from the highest total to the lowest. Your place in that line is your All India Rank.

This is also why the same marks can produce two different ranks in two different years.

Category rank uses the same idea, but with a smaller group. Instead of ranking you against every qualifying candidate, it ranks you only against candidates in your own reservation category. In 2026, Shubham Kumar topped the overall Common Rank List at AIR 1 with 330 out of 360 marks. In the same result, B Jayakrishna Srinivas topped the separate GEN-EWS category list, and Jatin Chahar topped the OBC-NCL list. Both hold rank 1, but in two different lists. Each list uses a different candidate pool.

No fixed marks-to-rank table exists

IIT Delhi will not publish a marks-to-AIR conversion chart before or after JEE Advanced 2027. Your rank depends on how every other candidate performs that year, not on a formula you can look up in advance. Treat any "expected rank for X marks" chart online as a guess.

So if two candidates score the exact same marks, do they always get the same rank? Not always. IIT applies a published tie-break rule when marks are equal. It generally favours the candidate with higher positive marks, then higher marks in Mathematics, then Physics.

JEE Advanced 2027 has no result yet, so there is no 2027 row to fill in below. IIT Kanpur and IIT Roorkee have published a clean two-cycle record for 2025 and 2026.

This comparison simply shows how much your rank depends on other candidates that year, not just your own marks. In 2025, the top-scoring female candidate, Devdutta Majhi, scored 312 out of 360 and held overall Common Rank List rank 16. In 2026, the top-scoring female candidate, Arohi Deshpande, scored 280 out of 360 and held overall Common Rank List rank 77.

A different candidate pool, sitting a different paper, produced this result. Your rank always depends on who else sat that year's exam with you.

What After JEE Advanced Result 2027? Next Steps

JoSAA uses your JEE Advanced 2027 result number to run seat allotment across the 23 IITs. Your result is not the last step in the process. Based on the last two cycles, seat allotment starts almost immediately.

  1. Result day

    JEE Advanced 2027 result declared

Download and save your scorecard the same day.

  2. Within 1-2 days

JoSAA registration and choice filling opens

In 2026, this began the day after the 1 June result. Register at josaa.nic.in using your JEE Advanced rank.

  3. Mock rounds

    Mock seat allotment

JoSAA runs mock rounds before the real ones, so you can reorder your choices.

  4. Multiple rounds

    Seat allotment rounds

JoSAA 2026 ran five allotment rounds between mid-June and mid-July, each with its own fee payment deadline.

  5. Reporting

    Document verification and reporting

Final-round candidates complete fee payment and physical or online reporting to confirm the seat.

Do this in order once your result is out.

  1. Download and check your All India Rank and category rank. Wait for the confirmed scorecard figure.
  2. Register on josaa.nic.in the moment it opens. In 2026, registration and choice filling began the day after the result. There is no separate application window to wait for.
  3. Compare your rank against last year's closing ranks. The JEE Advanced 2027 cutoff page carries the category-wise and institute-wise closing ranks from recent cycles, which is the realistic way to judge where you stand.
  4. Shortlist branches and IITs within reach of your rank. The JEE Advanced 2027 colleges page covers all 23 IITs and what each has closed at in past rounds.
  5. Fill choices in order of real preference, not perceived safety. JoSAA allotment moves you up automatically in later rounds if a preferred choice frees up, but only among choices you have actually filled.

So does a good JEE Advanced rank guarantee your first-choice IIT and branch? No. It only gives you a chance to compete for one. JoSAA still allots seats round by round, based on how many candidates ahead of you choose the same branch first.

Commonly asked questions

Answers to what readers ask most often.

Q: Has JEE Advanced 2027 declared its result?

No, JEE Advanced 2027 has not even been held as of 12 September 2026, so there is no result to declare. The exam date itself has not been announced yet. IIT Delhi is unlikely to confirm the exam date before December 2026, based on past years' press timing. We will update this page once IIT Delhi publishes the 2027 schedule. Data Sources: jeeadv.ac.in official notices.

Q: Is JEE Advanced Result given as a percentage-based score, like some other exams?

No, JEE Advanced never uses a percentage-based score at any stage. It reports raw marks out of 360, then converts that into an All India Rank and a category rank. JEE Advanced 2026 topper Shubham Kumar scored 330 out of 360 for AIR 1, a mark and a rank, not a percentage figure. Data Sources: JEE (Advanced) 2026 Results Press Release, IIT Roorkee, 1 June 2026.

Q: When will the JEE Advanced 2027 result come out?

As of 13 September 2026, IIT Delhi has not announced a date. In the last three cycles, the result came 14 to 15 days after the exam: 9 June 2024 for a 26 May exam, 2 June 2025 for an 18 May exam, and 1 June 2026 for a 17 May exam. If 2027 follows that pattern, expect the result 14 to 15 days after whatever exam date IIT Delhi sets, likely in late May or early June 2027. IIT Delhi itself is unlikely to confirm its exam date before December 2026. Data Sources: JEE Advanced 2024 Results Press Release, IIT Madras; IIT Kanpur JEE Advanced 2025 results page; JEE (Advanced) 2026 Results Press Release, IIT Roorkee.

Q: How do I download my JEE Advanced 2027 result?

Log in at jeeadv.ac.in using your registration number, date of birth, and registered mobile number, once the result goes live. Your marks, All India Rank, and category rank appear on screen for download as a PDF. There is no separate result-checking app or website.
