IIT Roorkee released two answer keys for JEE Advanced 2026: the provisional key on 25 May 2026 and the final key on 1 June 2026. IIT Roorkee checked every objection candidates raised before it released the final key. Expect the same two-step process for JEE Advanced 2027.
JEE Advanced 2027 has not happened yet. As of 12 September 2026, there is no exam, no response sheet, and no answer key. This is normal at this stage in the exam calendar. The IITs follow a seven-year rotation to pick the organizing institute. This rotation puts IIT Delhi next in line for JEE Advanced 2027. IIT Delhi has not officially confirmed this role yet.
This page uses IIT Roorkee's official JEE Advanced 2026 documents to show you what to expect for JEE Advanced 2027. It also gives you a full score-calculation example using the actual 2026 marking scheme, which IIT Roorkee prints on the actual question paper.
JEE Advanced 2027 doesn't have an answer key yet, because the exam hasn't happened. Study JEE Advanced 2026 instead, since it is the most recently completed cycle. IIT Roorkee ran that exam and released both keys as public PDFs at jeeadv.ac.in, with no login needed.

JEE Advanced 2026 finished its full cycle on 1 June 2026. IIT Roorkee released the final key and the result on the same day. JEE Advanced 2027 will follow the same provisional-then-final pattern, once IIT Delhi conducts the exam. IIT Delhi hasn't set that date yet.
Read the JEE Advanced overview 2027 for the full exam calendar once IIT Delhi confirms it. This page only tracks the answer key stage.
No. As of 13 September 2026, JEE Advanced 2027 has not happened, so no answer key exists yet. IIT Delhi will release a provisional key first, once it conducts the exam. A final key should follow roughly a week after the provisional key, based on the last three exam cycles. IIT Roorkee kept a 7-day provisional-to-final gap in 2026. IIT Kanpur kept the same 7-day gap in 2025. IIT Madras also kept a 7-day gap in 2024.
As of 13 September 2026, IIT Delhi has not announced any JEE Advanced date: not the exam date, not the provisional answer key date, and not the final answer key date. IIT Delhi has not even officially confirmed it will host JEE Advanced 2027, though a seven-year IIT rotation points to Delhi next. IIT Roorkee's exact 2026 timeline gives you the clearest picture, document by document.

In 2026, the exam-to-provisional-key gap was 8 days, the provisional-to-final-key gap was 7 days, and the exam-to-final-key gap was 15 days. This is not an isolated case: the same pattern holds across the last three exam cycles.
Here are the exact dates for each of the last three years.
| Year (host IIT) | Exam date | Provisional answer key | Final answer key / Result | Exam-to-provisional gap | Exam-to-final gap |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2024 (IIT Madras) | 26 May 2024 | 2 Jun 2024 | 9 Jun 2024 | 7 days | 14 days |
| 2025 (IIT Kanpur) | 18 May 2025 | 26 May 2025 | 2 Jun 2025 | 8 days | 15 days |
| 2026 (IIT Roorkee) | 17 May 2026 | 25 May 2026 | 1 Jun 2026 | 8 days | 15 days |
The provisional answer key came out 7 to 8 days after the exam in each of these three years. The final answer key, released the same day as the result, came out 14 to 15 days after the exam in each of these three years.
This pattern gives a tentative window for JEE Advanced 2027. IIT Delhi is expected to host the exam, under a seven-year IIT rotation. As of 13 September 2026, IIT Delhi has not officially confirmed this role. Once IIT Delhi sets an exam date, expect the provisional answer key 7 to 8 days after it and the final answer key 14 to 15 days after it.
IIT Delhi's JEE Advanced 2027 exam date itself is unlikely to be confirmed before December 2026 at the earliest. IIT Roorkee confirmed the 2026 exam date officially on 5 to 6 December 2025, then published its full Information Brochure about three weeks later, by 29 to 30 December 2025. Until IIT Delhi confirms a date on jeeadv.ac.in, treat any other date claim as unofficial.
As of 13 September 2026, this gap is not fixed for JEE Advanced 2027, because IIT Delhi has not set an exam date. Here is the actual gap for each of the last three years. In 2024, IIT Madras released the provisional key 7 days after the exam and the final key 14 days after the exam. In 2025, IIT Kanpur released the provisional key 8 days after the exam and the final key 15 days after the exam. In 2026, IIT Roorkee released the provisional key 8 days after the exam and the final key 15 days after the exam. Based on this pattern, expect a 7 to 8 day gap for the JEE Advanced 2027 provisional key. Expect a 14 to 15 day gap for the final key. IIT Delhi's exact 2027 exam date is unlikely to be confirmed before December 2026, so expect the exact 2027 answer key dates only after that.
JEE Advanced does not gate its answer key behind a candidate login. IIT Roorkee posted the JEE Advanced 2026 key as a plain public PDF. IIT Delhi will likely do the same for 2027.
No. Unlike some entrance exams, JEE Advanced posts its answer key as an open PDF at jeeadv.ac.in. IIT Roorkee didn't gate the JEE Advanced 2026 key behind any candidate portal. Nothing suggests IIT Delhi will change this for 2027.
JEE Advanced 2027 has no download link yet. IIT Delhi has not opened the exam window, so there is nothing to link to. The JEE Advanced 2026 final keys are still live at jeeadv.ac.in, though, sitting as direct PDFs, one for Paper 1 and one for Paper 2. This shows the process is genuinely public.
JEE Advanced 2027 answer key: bookmark the official site, not a coaching page
Checked 12 September 2026IIT Delhi hasn't set a JEE Advanced 2027 exam date, so no answer key link exists yet. Once IIT Delhi conducts the exam, the key will appear as a public PDF at jeeadv.ac.in. That's the same way IIT Roorkee posted the JEE Advanced 2026 key. Any 2027 answer key link on a coaching site before the exam happens is not describing a real release.
Visit the official JEE Advanced siteCheck the JEE Advance question paper 2027 page once papers are out. The answer key link usually sits right beside the question paper link, on the same portal.
Candidates often confuse these two documents, but they are not the same thing. IIT Roorkee released both for JEE Advanced 2026, four days apart. IIT Delhi will likely keep the same order for 2027.
You need both documents to work out a score. The response sheet tells you what you picked. The key tells you what was actually correct. IIT Roorkee releases the response sheet first so you can flag any recording error in your own responses before the key comes out.
No. The response sheet only confirms your own selected answers, nothing more. The answer key adds the correct answer for each question. This lets you calculate your score. For JEE Advanced 2026, the response sheet came out on 21 May. The provisional key came out four days later, on 25 May.
IIT Roorkee ran an objection window for JEE Advanced 2026. It charged a fee per challenge. Expect the same structure for JEE Advanced 2027. IIT Delhi has not published its own terms yet.
Every challenge cost Rs 500 in 2026, refunded only if IIT Roorkee accepted it.
IIT Roorkee's official notice for JEE Advanced 2026 charged Rs 500 per question challenged, paid online. The fee came back in full if the expert committee accepted the objection. It wasn't refunded if the committee rejected it. Source: IIT Roorkee's official notice, reported by Careers360 on 25 May 2026.
The window itself stayed open for barely a day and a half. It ran from 25 May, 10:00 IST, to 26 May, 17:00 IST. You need to check every answer against the key inside that short gap. IIT Roorkee reviewed accepted objections before it published the 1 June final key. The final key decided your actual score, not the provisional key.
Yes. The objection window lets you challenge any specific answer. For JEE Advanced 2026, IIT Roorkee charged Rs 500 per question challenged. It refunded the fee only for accepted objections. The window stayed open less than two days, so check the key the moment it comes out.
This is the actual JEE Advanced 2026 marking scheme, printed straight on IIT Roorkee's own question papers.
Paper 1 and Paper 2 do not share one marking scheme. Many guides get this wrong. Each paper splits into four sections. The sections do not work the same way across the two papers.
+3 if only the correct option is chosen. 0 if unanswered. -1 in all other cases, including a wrong pick or more than one option marked.
+4 if all correct options are chosen. +3 if all 4 options are correct but only 3 are chosen. +2 if 3 or more are correct but only 2 are chosen, both correct. +1 if 2 or more are correct but only 1 is chosen, and it's correct. 0 if unanswered. -1 in all other cases.
+4 if only the correct numerical value is entered. 0 in all other cases. No negative marking here at all.
+4 only if the option matching the correct combination is chosen. 0 if unanswered. -1 in all other cases.
Paper 2's Section 3 runs 5 numerical questions worth 20 marks, still +4/0 with no negative marking. Its Section 4 has 2 question stems worth 8 marks total. It's scored +2 for a correct numerical value and 0 otherwise, again with no negative marking. Paper 2 carries no matching-list section at all.
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics each repeat this same four-section structure within a paper. Here is how the numbers add up: 12+16+16+16 makes 60 marks for one subject in Paper 1. Multiply by 3 subjects to get 180. Add Paper 2's 168 marks. You get the 348 total marks IIT Roorkee used for JEE Advanced 2026.
A worked example, using the real JEE Advanced 2026 Paper 1 scheme, for one subject.
Say this is your Physics section in Paper 1.
Your Physics score in Paper 1: 8 + 6 + 8 + 6 = 28 out of 60.
Chemistry and Mathematics work through the identical four sections in Paper 1, so run the same math there. Paper 2 changes Section 3 and Section 4. Don't copy this exact example onto Paper 2 without checking the accordion above first.
Once IIT Delhi releases the real JEE Advanced 2027 marking scheme, expect to find it printed on the question paper itself. IIT Roorkee did exactly this for 2026. Whatever score you calculate off the provisional key is still an estimate. The JEE Advanced result 2027 page has your final number. This number includes your marks, your All India Rank, and your category rank.
No. Numerical value questions in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 carried zero negative marking in the JEE Advanced 2026 scheme. A wrong numerical answer cost nothing beyond the marks you didn't earn. Single correct, multiple correct, and matching-list questions all carried a -1 penalty for a wrong attempt instead.
A worked walkthrough of turning the provisional key into an actual score, using the real 2026 marking scheme, the same section-by-section logic its worked example follows.

The JEE Advanced 2026 final answer keys are still live, as direct PDFs on jeeadv.ac.in, one for each paper. This is the most recent real example of a released JEE Advanced key. It is a useful stand-in until the JEE Advanced 2027 files exist.
No JEE Advanced 2027 PDFs exist yet. That's expected.
IIT Delhi hasn't conducted the exam, so there's no answer key to archive. Once IIT Delhi releases the JEE Advanced 2027 key, expect it at jeeadv.ac.in. That's where the JEE Advanced 2026 key sits today, as a plain, publicly downloadable PDF.
For actual past papers to practise from, check the question paper page linked above. It tracks which papers IIT Roorkee has released and archived across recent cycles. Always check a genuine past paper against its own year's real answer key.
You can find them directly at jeeadv.ac.in, for the cycles it currently keeps public. The JEE Advanced 2026 final keys for Paper 1 and Paper 2 are live there right now. Older cycles typically move once the site refreshes for the next year's exam. Confirm with the official site.

IIT Delhi, expected to. That's the next institute in a seven-year IIT rotation, after IIT Roorkee ran JEE Advanced 2026. IIT Delhi hasn't officially confirmed the role for 2027 yet. Data Sources: jeeadv.ac.in rotation pattern, cross-checked against IIT Roorkee's confirmed 2026 role.
No, JEE Advanced posts its answer key as an open PDF at jeeadv.ac.in, without needing a candidate login. IIT Roorkee did exactly this for both the provisional and final JEE Advanced 2026 keys. Data Sources: jeeadv.ac.in, JEE Advanced 2026 answer key pages.
