MICA admission 2027 for the PGDM-C and PGDM needs a CAT, XAT or GMAT score, a MICAT score, then a group exercise and a personal interview. The one-year PGCM-AMC and PGCM-DMMC and the CSC need MICAT alone. MICAT I registration closes on 21 November 2026 at 11:50 PM, and the application fee is ₹2,500. This page covers the MICA admission process 2027 from dates and eligibility to documents and the final merit list. The MICA admission details differ a little for each programme.

Yes, for three programmes. PGCM-AMC, PGCM-DMMC and the CSC use MICAT only. The PGDM-C, PGDM and Sports Management need one of CAT, XAT or GMAT as well.
The MICA admission dates for batch 2027-28 split into two MICAT windows, with MICAT I closing first. MICAT I registration opened in September 2026. The table lists both windows as MICA's admissions calendar shows them. These MICA admission dates apply to every programme.

Submit the final marksheet and passing certificate, or the provisional admission is cancelled.
MICA has not published dates for the group exercise and interview, so the MICA admission 2027 calendar ends at the score dates for now. MICA says it may change the test centres or any event date, so watch the admissions page.
Yes. MICA lists separate registration and a separate fee for each sitting. If you sit both, MICA considers the better of the two scores.
MICA eligibility for the PGDM-C, PGDM and the one-year courses is a three-year bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks. The degree must come from an AIU-recognised university. These MICA admission requirements are the same for every programme except the FPM. The MICA admission criteria on marks are fixed, and the FPM has its own paths.
Yes, and so can graduates awaiting results. Give a certificate from your head of institution by 30 June 2027 that says you have met every degree requirement. You then join provisionally. The final marksheet and passing certificate are due by 31 December 2027.
MICA turns every grade into a percentage, and the rule differs by level. For Class 10 and 12, it uses the aggregate of all subjects on the marksheet. For a degree not yet complete, it uses your marks from the semesters or years done. For an integrated master's or dual degree taken after Class 12, it uses the percentage under your university's norms.
Yes, with a condition. An Indian applicant who studied abroad must hold a degree recognised by the AIU or another proper authority. For the FPM, foreign nationals and NRIs with equivalent non-Indian degrees can apply with a GRE score.
MICA entrance exams are MICAT for every programme, plus CAT 2026, XAT 2027 or GMAT for the PGDM-C, PGDM and Sports Management. GMAT scores must be from 2025 onwards. MICA uses these scores, but IIMs, XLRI and GMAC have no role in its selection. MICA admission never rests on CAT alone.
| MICA programme | Exams needed | Interview |
|---|---|---|
| PGDM-C and PGDM | CAT, XAT or GMAT, plus MICAT | Group exercise and interview |
| Sports Management | CAT, XAT or GMAT, plus MICAT | Interview |
| PGCM-AMC, PGCM-DMMC, CSC | MICAT only | Interview |
| FPM | A valid test score, plus MICAT | Screening, test, presentation, interview |
MICAT has three parts: a psychometric test, a descriptive test and an aptitude test. The aptitude test has divergent and convergent thinking, verbal ability, and quantitative ability with data interpretation. It is computer-based, and MICA assigns the test centre.
MICA gives no comparison, so no one can rank them. MICAT tests creative and analytical aptitude together, and it adds a psychometric and a typed descriptive part. CAT is a common test for many colleges. The two test different things, so prepare for each.
MICAT alone is enough only for PGCM-AMC, PGCM-DMMC and the CSC. For the PGDM-C, PGDM and Sports Management, MICAT is not enough, because you also need CAT, XAT or GMAT. Either way, MICAT is never optional.
MICAT is held in 48 cities, including Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Lucknow and Patna. Your admit card shows the centre. You cannot take MICAT on your own computer.
Yes. MICA published MICAT Sample Questions 2027 in September 2026. A MICAT demo is listed as available soon.
The MICA admission process is a six-step online journey, from registration to the final merit list. This MICA admission procedure is the same on every programme page. You register, verify your email, fill the form, upload documents, pay the fee and submit. The tabs show what follows for each group of programmes in the MICA admission process.
Register for MICAT. Submit your CAT, XAT or GMAT score. Take MICAT I or II. Attend the group exercise and personal interview if shortlisted. Wait for the final merit list.
The FPM process has four steps. Step 1 is a valid score in CAT, XAT, GMAT, GRE, UGC-NET, JRF or GATE, worth 10% of the final selection. Step 2 is the application with MICAT. Step 3 is an online screening interview. Step 4 is a written test, an individual presentation and a personal interview on campus. MICA also weighs your academic record, research proposal and fit with its faculty.
Yes. The application fee is ₹2,500, plus ₹500 for each extra programme. The ₹500 is payable only if you are shortlisted for the interview.
MICA selection criteria for 2027 name the stages but publish no weightage. So MICA admission cannot be reduced to a formula. The older split quoted online is not on MICA's current pages. For the PGDM-C and PGDM, the stages are CAT, XAT or GMAT, MICAT, the group exercise and interview, then a merit list.
MICA normalises MICAT scores with statistical methods, using all qualifying candidates up to that stage. Each sub-section score, such as Verbal Ability, becomes a normalised score. MICA says the PGDM-C weights creative aptitude, verbal ability and reading comprehension in MICAT. It says the PGDM weights quantitative ability.
No. MICA publishes no weightage for the 2027 intake. Only the FPM states one number: a CAT, XAT, GMAT, GRE, UGC-NET, JRF or GATE score carries 10% there. Treat any other split as unofficial.
MICA runs no counselling, and seats are filled from the final merit list after the interview. MICA admission closes with the offer letter. Shortlisted candidates attend the interview. MICA then sends offer letters to those in the final merit.
The Programme Choice Is Final
If you are merit-listed for more than one programme, you can accept only one by the date in your offer letter. Accepting one means giving up your place in the others. If you do not accept by the date, your name is removed from the merit list.
MICA asks you to upload documents in the online form and to furnish papers at verification, but it publishes no full checklist. The cards list what its admission pages name. Ask admissions@micamail.in for the complete MICA admission details and list for your programme.

It also asks for a research proposal of up to 1,000 words that names three MICA faculty. MICA supplies the blank recommendation forms as a PDF.
MICA publishes no cutoff percentile or cutoff marks for admission. MICA admission is decided on the merit list, not on a published line. It states a 50% marks rule and section-wise MICAT qualifying criteria that vary each cycle. The MICA cutoff page explains each stage, including how the PGDM and PGDM-C differ.
MICA's admission pages state no reservation policy or category quota for 2027. The MICA admission rules for categories are not public. So no seat share for SC, ST, OBC, EWS or PwD candidates can be quoted. MICA's mandatory disclosure page lists a statutory Affirmative Action and SC/ST Committee. Write to admissions@micamail.in before you register and ask for the category rules in writing.
MICA has no direct admission, and its admission pages list no management quota seat. Every programme fills its seats from a final merit list, after an entrance score and an interview. The MICA pages describe no management quota, no NRI quota and no paid seat for any of the seven programmes.
| MICA Programme | Test Needed | Route to a Seat |
|---|---|---|
| PGDM-C and PGDM | CAT, XAT or GMAT, plus MICAT | Group exercise, personal interview, final merit list |
| PGCM Sports Management | CAT, XAT or GMAT, plus MICAT | Personal interview, final merit list |
| PGCM-AMC, PGCM-DMMC and CSC | MICAT only | Personal interview, final merit list |
| FPM | A valid test score, plus MICAT | Online screening, written test, presentation, interview, final merit list |
No. MICA publishes no management quota, NRI quota or direct entry seat on any programme admission page. Foreign nationals and NRIs with equivalent degrees and GRE scores can apply to the FPM, but they follow the same selection route as other candidates. The MICA courses page lists the entry test for each programme.
A real MICA offer comes only after MICAT and the interview, as an offer letter to candidates in the final merit list. If you do not accept by the date in the letter, MICA removes your name from the list. Confirm any offer with the admissions office on admissions@micamail.in, 02717-688198 or 02717-688250.
Do Not Pay Anyone for a Seat
MICA describes no paid seat and no management quota. The only fee MICA lists at this stage is the MICAT application fee of ₹2,500. Check any other offer with the admissions office before you pay.
MICA scholarships go to students already studying at MICA, so you apply after MICA admission. The merit-cum-means award covers 25% to 100% of tuition, and 25 to 30 awards go out each year. Family income must not exceed ₹10 lakh a year. The FPM has no scholarship, because it already waives tuition.
The MICA PGDM-C fee of about ₹29.50 lakh (batch 2027-29) is about 1.5 times the median pay of ₹19.57 lakh a year (batch 2024-26). The MICA fees page lists what the fee covers. The MICA placements page gives the offer data. The fee batch and the pay batch differ, so treat the ratio as a guide and not a promise. MICA reports PGDM-C and PGDM placements together, and both carry the same fee.

Fee Against Median CTC
About 18 months of median pay
The fee equals about 18 months of median pay. Against the average CTC of ₹20.12 lakh, it equals about 17.6 months. This compares the fee with one year of the stated pay, before tax and living cost, and it ignores interest on any loan. It is a rough guide only. The fee also leaves out the salary a student gives up during two years of study.
The return depends on where a student lands in the batch. The top 25 students averaged ₹34.00 lakh, so they recover the fee in about 10 months. The top 50 averaged ₹29.26 lakh, which is about 12 months. The top 100 averaged ₹24.79 lakh, which is about 14 months. The highest offer of ₹45.67 lakh is an outlier.
Sector also matters. Consumer tech averaged ₹25.09 lakh, which is about 14 months of pay. Consulting and tech averaged ₹22.65 lakh, which is about 16 months. Media and entertainment averaged ₹17.21 lakh and others ₹16.22 lakh, which is about 21 to 22 months.
MICA suits students who aim at consumer tech, consulting, FMCG or BFSI roles and can plan a loan around the median. It suits students who want media or other lower-paying roles less, because the fee takes nearly two years of that pay. MICA gives 25 to 30 scholarships a year and awards them after you join, so read the MICA scholarships page and plan for the full fee.
