In this program, students get to experience industry-focused visits to gain first-hand insight into how creative media companies function and the variety of employment opportunities that are available in the development of career aspirations. There are also other study trips to festivals and video game expos plus pportunities to enter competitions. There is strong pastoral care within a friendly creative community with an emphasis on team building and collaborative work. This course is part of a subject area rated 1st in the UK for satisfaction with assessment, 2nd in Wales for career prospects and 3rd in Wales for satisfaction with teaching and satisfaction with the course in the Design and Crafts subject league tables, The Guardian University Guide 2022.

Wrexham Glyndwr University started in 2008, making it one of the youngest universities in the UK. It is a vibrant, friendly place where each student’s learning and future is given personal attention.

Its name comes from Welsh scholar and hero Owain Glyndwr, and it aims to champion some of the same philosophies as him.

It is proud to name the university after a man who cherished learning, loved his country, embraced an international outlook, and constantly demonstrated an inspiring and enterprising approach to life.

It has been delivering education at its main Wrexham campus since 1887 when it is known as the Wrexham School of Science and Art. It first started offering degrees in 1924, but it has come a long way since then.
