The BA (Hons) American Studies (3 years) program at the University of East Anglia is an interdisciplinary study program that explores the history, culture, politics, literature, and society of the United States. Students will gain a deep understanding of America from multiple angles, exploring the nation's triumphs and challenges from the inside out. In the first year, courses lay a foundation in American history and culture. As the course progresses, students will have the chance to explore specific periods or themes in more depth, or choose from options that span the rest of the Americas. Students can also opt to study abroad for an immersive experience. The program benefits from the University’s partnership with prestigious American institutions and the school's faculty expertise, allowing students to focus on areas that may include civil rights, the environment, foreign policy, slavery, gender, civil war, and Native American history. Graduates of the program develop a wide range of skills that are desirable to employers, including strong analytical skills, oral and written communication, research proficiency, and the ability to develop and present complex arguments.

The University of East Anglia (UEA) is a public research university in Norwich, England.
