The BA (Hons) Asia Pacific Studies (Foundation Entry) program at the University of Central Lancashire is a course that aims to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the Asia Pacific region. This program includes a foundation year which is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to undertake a full degree in Asia Pacific Studies. It offers interdisciplinary study of the region’s history, culture, economy and political situation. Special emphasis is put on languages, with students given the options to study Japanese, Korean and Chinese. The program also entails studying abroad to give students a practical experience of the region. Graduates from this course often go into a range of professional fields such as international business, government service, the media and secondary and higher education.
