Diploma in Information Technology - MQF Level 5 - Level 5 eie European Business School

The objective of the Level 4 / 5 Diploma in Information Technology is to provide learners with an excellent foundation for a career in a range of organisations. It is designed to ensure that each learner is ‘business ready’: a confident, independent thinker with a detailed knowledge of Information Technology, and equipped with the skills to adapt rapidly to change.

The qualification is ideal for those who have started, or are planning to move into, a career in private or public sector business. Successful completion of the Level 4 / 5 Diploma in Information Technology will provide learners with the opportunity to progress to further study or employment.

The Level 4 modules and assignments of this course are equivalent to the first year of a University Degree and the Level 5 modules and assignments are equivalent to the second year of a University Degree.

This course is made up of 6 Level 4 modules (120 credits) and 6 level 5 modules (120 credits). Each level also includes 6 written assignments.

If a student decides to only study at Level 4 they will receive 120 credits and can apply for an exemption from the first year of a university Degree course. Each module consists of approximately 80 guided learning hours of material with an additional 30-50 hours of optional learning material. These materials comprise recommended exercises, recommended readings and internet resources.
