Monash University's Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) is a unique interdisciplinary program that provides students with the tools to understand and critically analyze the global issues and challenges of the 21st century. This three-year course explores three complementary disciplines simultaneously.
The Politics component focuses on understanding political institutions, international relations, and public policy, equipping students with knowledge about the major political issues of the modern world. The Philosophy section acquaints students with critical reasoning and stimulates discussions on reality, existence, knowledge, values, reason and more. The Economics segment is about understanding the economies operate examining topics such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and developments in the global economy.
The program blends rigorous theoretical courses with real-world case studies, encouraging students to develop advanced analytical, research, and communication skills. Graduates of this program may avail themselves of career opportunities in sectors like government, international relations, public policy, nonprofit, consultancy, finance, law, journalism, development, or continue their studies at postgraduate level.
