Bachelors in Dental Health Science Griffith University

Griffith University's Bachelor of Dental Health Science program is a comprehensive course that prepares students for a rewarding career in dentistry. For the first two years, the students will study basic biomedical and dental sciences. From the third year, they start clinical practice, with on-hands learning, where they treat patients under professional supervision. They will gain unmatched experience in the areas of restorative dentistry, periodontology, oral surgery, prosthodontics, endodontics and pediatric dentistry, oral medicine and diagnosis.

In addition to this, the program also features a community outreach where students will have the opportunity to provide dental care to patients in rural, remote or Indigenous communities. This degree is the first step towards becoming a certified dentist. After successfully completing the Bachelor program, students are eligible to apply for the two-year Doctor of Clinical Dentistry to become a registered dentist.
