What Is It Like To Be a Student in Spain 1

What Is It Like To Be a Student in Spain?

As a student, you will find living in Spain to be rather pleasurable. There are peaceful, lovely places filled with nature and inspiration all around the country. Spain is a pleasant place to visit every day, and all of the colleges have a variety of events for students to partake in.

Your daily schedule will vary depending on the college you are attending and the subjects you have chosen to pursue. Full-time and part-time schedules are available at colleges, still with enough time for students to balance their lives between academics and fun.

You can always expect a top-notch learning experience from highly qualified instructors when you’re learning. Spain has 76 universities, with 24 of them receiving government funding. Each of the schools places a high value on teaching its students.

Here is some guide to help you out:

Climate

International students prefer to study in Spain for a variety of reasons, including the country’s amazing light and natural heat. Summer temperatures have been in the upper 40s (degrees Celsius) in recent decades, yet the country still maintains a pleasant year-round environment outside of those months.

Student culture

You will be able to make a lot of friends thanks to the country’s vibrant and diverse student culture.

Students in Spain study hard but they still often have a great time. If you’re heading out at night, get some rest in the afternoon because most clubs don’t open until after midnight, and your friends will want to party until morning!

Language barrier

After Spanish, English is the second most spoken language in Spain. Learning a little Spanish before transferring is an excellent idea. You may use one of the many Spanish learning apps available on your smartphone to get started.

Cost of living

The cost of living in Spain is dependent on your location, just as it is in every other country.

Of course, the total cost of living in Spain is influenced by the type of housing you have and the way you live. It would cost you around € 900 to € 1,200 per month to live in basic housing and stick to a medium-sized budget.

Part-time jobs

International students with a student visa can work in Spain to supplement their income while studying. With a student visa, you can work part-time in Spain for up to 20 hours per week while completing your education.

You can only work part-time in Spain as a non-EU/EEA international student until your student visa expires. To engage you, your employer will need to apply to the Foreign Nationals Office in Spain (your work permit). Keep in mind that breaking any of the rules could jeopardize your right to live, work, or study in Spain.

It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study in Spain. Spain’s culture is accommodating to internationals, owing to the constant migration of internationals throughout the year. Its welcoming residents, huge student population, and excellent expat network will make you feel at ease.
