Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) has officially kicked off the International Polytechnic Winter School 2022 online.
More than 450 international students from 20 countries, including China, Germany, France, Portugal, Croatia, Italy, India, and others, will participate in the new season.

Successful completion of the programs will result in international certificates with European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits that participants can utilize at their home universities, as is customary.
The opening ceremony, which was held via the Microsoft Teams platform, drew over 350 people.
The International Polytechnic Summer and Winter Schools is one of Polytechnic University’s largest international undertakings. The schools have already been held multiple times online during the pandemic.
Many students from SPbPU partner universities are among those attending the International Polytechnic Winter School 2022, including Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Maritime University, Munich Technical University, and others.
In general, the number of Chinese participants has increased significantly this season. This is partly owing to the activities of the SPbPU’s Shanghai official representative office.
International students at the International Polytechnic Winter School will study space technologies, engineering, natural sciences, civil engineering, Russian language and culture, in addition to new programs.
Moreover, students will have a full cultural program in their spare time, which will be broadcast online.
Participants will also enjoy a virtual tour of the Hermitage and take an interactive walk around Polytechnic University’s campus.
