During the National Engineers Week at Cleveland State University (CSU), ‘Engineer for a Day’ and ‘Connections Fair’ assist students, alumni, and those about to graduate connect with the industry.

The Washkewicz College of Engineering (WCOE) will host these affairs to support students and graduates in finding industry networks and having a glimpse of what it is like to work as an engineer.

The Fenn Academy and Co-op help future engineers in a variety of ways, but two of the most important are the Engineer For A Day job shadowing program and the Engineering and Computer Science Connections Fair.

The Engineer for a Day job shadowing program, which is run in collaboration with the Cleveland Engineering Society, allows students to meet area engineers and gain experience in a variety of engineering fields.

On the afternoon of Feb. 22, job shadowing company visits and activities will take place. Final arrangements will be made with the participating students and their sponsors.

Meanwhile, employers can consider CSU students for co-ops, internships, permanent career possibilities, and more at the 5th Annual Spring Engineering and Computer Science Connections Fair at CSU.

These are the largest career fairs on campus, highlighting the university’s many partnerships with engineering’s various businesses.

The Fenn Academy Co-op Office is asking industry partners to attend the event on Feb. 25 starting at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Woodling Gym at CSU.
