What Are the Total Fees in JMI for Four Years of B.Tech?

The JMI total fees for four years of regular B.Tech are about ₹78,100, and for self-financed B.Tech about ₹6,12,700. This is an illustration. It multiplies the 2026-27 yearly fee by four and assumes the fee stays the same. JMI can revise its fees during the programme. Hostel, mess and insurance come on top of these JMI total fees.

BA Hons Social Work adds ₹2,500 a year for field work, ₹500 a year each for professional networking and skill lab, ₹5,000 for programme media in year 1 and ₹6,000 for the rural camp in semester 5.

Which JMI Course Has the Lowest Fee?

Regular arts and science programmes have the lowest JMI fees, at about ₹10,000 a year. BA Hons in Arabic, English, History, Islamic Studies and Urdu cost ₹10,175. BA Hons Persian costs ₹9,775. At CDOE, the distance BA General costs ₹8,000 a year, as per the CDOE Prospectus 2026-27.

JMI fees for Computer Engineering are ₹19,525 a year, and JMI fees for CSE (Data Sciences) are ₹1,53,175 a year. Computer Engineering is a regular branch, and CSE (Data Sciences) is self-financed. B.Sc Hons Computer Science costs ₹15,300 a year, and ten seats in it are self-financed at ₹50,300. MCA costs ₹11,475, and the self-financed M.Sc AI and ML costs ₹52,700.

JMI fees for a hostel seat are about ₹15,350 to ₹15,875 for a new allotment, plus mess charges, as per the latest hostel sheets for session 2024-25. JMI has not posted a hostel fee sheet for 2025-26 or 2026-27 on its hostel pages. Treat the amounts below as a guide and confirm them with the hostel Provost.

The boys' sheet totals ₹30,950 for a new allotment, with hostel charges and six months of mess. These JMI hostel fees are the latest on the site. The girls' sheet charges mess for ten months, or ₹28,000, in two instalments. The hostel charges include a refundable caution money and a refundable mess caution money. Students with a physical disability and a parental income of ₹1.5 lakh or less a year do not pay room rent. NRI students pay US$1,000 as hostel charges for a session.

What Is the Hostel Fee at JMI?

JMI fees for a new boys' hostel allotment were ₹15,350, and the mess added ₹15,600 for six months, in session 2024-25. For a new girls' allotment in the J&K, Begum Hazrat Mahal and old halls, hostel charges were ₹15,875. JMI hostels house 2,220 boys and 1,900 girls, as per the JMI hostels page. The prospectus says JMI cannot guarantee hostel accommodation.

You pay JMI fees for one academic session at the time of admission, as per the Prospectus 2026-27. The Dean can allow two instalments if you request it. Pay JMI fees in cash at Indian Bank or Bank of India. You can also pay online by Net Banking, card or UPI.

Can I Pay JMI Fees in Instalments?

Yes, but only if your Dean allows it on request. The prospectus says the full fee for one session is due at admission. Students who join a part-time or evening advanced diploma, diploma or certificate along with a full-time programme pay tuition, admission, sessional, examination, subject association and caution money fees. Foreign students pay fees in US dollars, as per section 9 of the prospectus.

Yes, in part or in full, because the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Scholarship pays up to ₹10,000 against a ₹10,175 fee. You must have 75% attendance and be a citizen of India. The 2024-25 call closed on 25 January 2026, and you must apply afresh each year.
