Step 1
Apply Online
Create an account on admission.imi.edu/delhi, fill in the form and pay the non-refundable application fee.
Step 2
Get Shortlisted
IMI Delhi shortlists on the test score, academic record and work experience. This stage of the IMI Delhi admission procedure is not open to all applicants.
Step 3
Take the Video Assessment
It tests your thought process and communication skills before the final interview.
Step 4
Attend the Personal Interview
Shortlisted candidates take the interview. Keep your documents ready.
Step 5
Receive the Offer
The result appears on the admissions portal and the IMI Delhi website.
The stages are an online application, a shortlist, a video assessment and a personal interview. The Mandatory Disclosure 2026 calls the last stage a personal assessment of extempore and interview. The IMI Delhi admission procedure then builds a composite score. The offer follows from that score. Only shortlisted candidates reach the final stage of the IMI Delhi admission procedure. Meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee a shortlist call.
IMI Delhi admission criteria rest on a composite score out of 100, and the test score carries the most at 35 marks. The weights below are those published for Batch 2025-27. IMI Delhi has not published weights for the 2027 intake.
| Parameter | Maximum marks | Covers |
|---|---|---|
| CAT, XAT or GMAT | 35 | Your test score |
| Personal Assessment | 30 | Extempore and interview |
| Work experience | 15 | Quality of experience |
| Academics | 15 | School and graduation record |
| Diversity | 5 | Background and profile |
Subject knowledge 8, behaviour and attitude 6, current affairs 6, co-curricular and extra-curricular activity 4, extempore 3 and verbal communication 3. The total is 30.
The test score decides the most, at 35 of 100 marks. No single factor decides alone, because the personal assessment adds 30 marks and academics and work experience add 15 each. IMI Delhi reserves the right to change these components, and it tells applicants at the interview stage.
IMI Delhi does not run counselling rounds, and it announces offers on the admissions portal. The final IMI Delhi admission decision follows the interviews in January 2027 and is due in February 2027. The cards show the path to a seat.

Fee Against Average CTC
About 16 months of average CTC
It takes about 16 months of average CTC to match the fee. This compares ₹23,54,000 with one year of the ₹17.62 lakh PGDM average. It is before tax and living cost, and it ignores interest on any loan. The PGDM median of ₹16.56 lakh gives about 17 months. This is a rough guide only. Hostel and mess add ₹6.19 to 7.93 lakh over two years, so the cost with a hostel room is about ₹29.7 lakh to ₹31.5 lakh. That equals about 20 to 21 months of average CTC. The fee also leaves out two years of lost salary for students who leave a job to join.
Most PGDM students earn close to the middle, and the top group earns clearly more. The PGDM top 10% averaged ₹26.18 lakh, the top 25% averaged ₹23.67 lakh and the top 50% averaged ₹21.17 lakh. The whole batch averaged ₹17.62 lakh. So the lower half averaged about ₹14.07 lakh, if the two halves are equal in size. That last figure is our own working from the published numbers. The report gives no lowest package.
Sector also matters. Banking, financial services and insurance made 31% of PGDM offers at an average of ₹19.61 lakh. Manufacturing and conglomerate paid ₹19.18 lakh. IT, ITES and telecom made 22% of offers at ₹16.13 lakh, and consulting and EdTech paid ₹16.65 lakh. The batch had 19 months of average work experience, so a fresher may earn below the average.
The fee suits students who want finance, manufacturing or general management roles and can fund about ₹30 lakh with a hostel room. It suits less a student who must repay a large loan quickly. It also suits less a student who counts on the highest package, because the PGDM highest was ₹27.25 lakh and one offer sets it. NIRF 2026 data shows 403 of 409 graduates placed in 2024-25, so getting placed is not the main risk. The size of the pay is. IMI Delhi names six banks for education loans, and a limited number of students with family income below ₹8 lakh a year get a Tuition Fee Waiver. Read the IMI Delhi scholarships page before you decide.
